Houston walks to Americas title with total dominance

Posted by: Newswire, 2025-03-29, 29 Views

This season in the Americas was expected to be highly competitive. Reigning champs Houston facing off against a powerful Brasilia team and an emerging Las Vegas side (which would go on to win the Wes Cup.)

But ultimately, it was one of Houston’s easiest titles. The Texan club won the division with four games to spare, finishing 14 points ahead of the runner-up. The title run was spearheaded by the club’s elite midfield and the top scorer in the region --- Abdul Mochtar, with 20 league goals.

But luck also played a part. Main rival Brasilia started the season horribly, spending most of the season in midtable and with a 10-pt deficit against Houston. The Brazilian club hit a run of form towards the end but it was too late, Houston just didn’t drop many points.

What’s next for Houston? The club is hoping to dominate the division for the next five seasons. Its most valuable players are young, at around 27, with a veteran defensive line. The one negative --- star veteran midfielder Plume suddenly decided to retire at 32. He was the strongest challenge midfielder at the club and will be missed.
