Lyngby Taarbaek fans rejoice as they at last awake to the arrival of a new shot stopper

Posted by: Newswire, 2022-05-16, 1108 Views

After months of unrest amongst the Lyngby Taarbaek fan base and a number of loud vocal Lyngby ultra's demanding action,, it has finally happened. Reaction around the ground, on the street and on social media has virtually all been positive! with many fans absolutely delighted with their new man in between the sticks...

Edwin Castello arrived this morning, and soon completed the relevant paperwork, required medical checks and was announced asap.. The 26yo commented that he was "excited by Lyngby's current project potential" and that he is "confident that I can make a solid contribution here"
A huge crowd is expected for today's friendly vs St Petersburg, Castello is expected to get some minutes to help bed him in asap..

Growing pressure had been mounting on the Lyngby chiefs, numerous failed returns to division 1, and increasing threat of D3 football...Many fans have criticised Lyngby journeyman keeper Ben Mustoe, and the Gaffer's choice to run with him for "cap reasons"
But a 3rd season in a row of  plain sloppy keeping, had sealed his fate, even forcing the trade phobic Lyngby boss to completely reverse his plans and actively look for solutions.
Jim said of his failing keeper - " I would like to thank Ben for his long and dedicated service to us and sincerely wish him the best of luck for battling his demons and regaining his form when he finds his new club. Also I would very much like to remind our fans and the wes world of Ben's earlier work and successes with us."

Many respected voices have now remarked that it is a miracle that Lynbgy have managed to retain their crown jewels,, and improve their starting 11,,, rumours had been rife that the former European North Champions, were destined to become a lower division feeder club and were always needing to trade on their best,, the fans couldn't be happier with this! many fans now urge the club to bring forward their plans for a statue of club legendary manager gafferjim !!! :O

Speculation is now mounting about a serious challenge for this seasons RC, and even a rejuvenated surge for promotion,, but
Outspoken Lyngby vet Abdoulie  Jallow has commented that "the team can hopefully make a robust challenge for the cup now,, but yeah maybe promo & cup could be a stretch,,, maybe we might just need to avoid relegation this season"

anyways after month's of turmoil and too many goals conceded,, Lyngby Taarbaek will hope for brighter days ahead and hopefully some actual results,, the next 4 competitive games are massive to how their season pans out..
Best of luck to Lyngby and their new number 1

over and out
