Late Heroics Salvage Naples' Season

Naples started the season poorly, and had to make a second half surge to stay in Top 4 contention this season. They also dealt with an uncharacteristically early exit from the Regional Cup. Their one saving grace was good WES Cup form, but there they ended up heartbroken, losing in the Semi-Final to Bern, despite draws in both games and out-shooting them in the first leg. Finally, the last night of the season, Naples chances of staying in the Top 4 for a fourth consecutive season looked grim. With no tiebreaker wins due to their poor scoring form, they needed some fortune. They got it. On the final night enough happened elsewhere to give them an opening, but they still had to win against Braga. They went up 1 in the first half and seemed in control. But after half Braga scored on a free kick; their only shot of the second half, but it was 1-1. A draw would be another heartbreak as it would keep Naples out of the Top 4, handing it to Genoa. As the clock ticked on toward the end the pressure mounted. Finally, in Minute 86, Mo Norasikin found Aloued Harris for the dramatic - and season salvaging - goal.

Naples looking good for D1. Nice team there Matt, could dominate ES as Bern looking old now!
